Zgodovinski razvoj in temeljne paradigme ekonomske antropologije. Predstavitev različnih načinov ekonomskega mišljenja in organizacije, preživljanja, menjave, distribucije in potrošnje – do sodobnih teoretskih modelov (mreženje, globalizacija, kapitali). Predavanja temeljijo na etnografskih primerih. Prakse iz slovenske politične in ekonomske zgodovine primerjamo s primeri s sveta. Predstavitev pestrosti politično-ekonomskih strategij, družbenih organizacij in ideologij. Predmet upošteva tudi spoznanja ekološke, simbolne, psihološke antropologije in vzpostavlja druge interdisciplinarne povezave.
