Overview, assessment and active use of different approaches to discourse analysis.
Relations between linguistic, textual and communicative norms. Perception of stylistic suitability of the text as a pragmaticsociolinguistic category. Language policy and language planning. Institutionalized language-policy activity in Slovenija folowing World War II. Critical discourse analysis of language policy discourse. Research starting points for critical discourse analysis in the context of translation and interpreting. Critical discourse analysis and power relations between communicative partners. The active role of the researcher who intentionally take a non-neutral position in order to change the current state of affairs.
